This paper identifies the main socio-economic determinants of health and the degree of their impact among the Russian population on RLMS data for individuals from 2010 to 2018. Three econometric models are built, they are an ordered logit model for a rank variable of self-assessed health and two logit models for binary variables of risk factors (smoking and obesity). Among the three socio-economic factors (education, income, professional class), the level of education turned out to be a key determinant of health.
