Educational Programme: Software Engineering (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2020

Task generation is one of the ways to increase the variability of tasks, allowing, on the one hand, to speed up the process of obtaining new tasks, which will make life easier for teachers, and at the same time allowing students to independently receive a variety of tasks on the desired topic. However, the generator must meet a number of requirements: 1) Tasks should be of similar complexity, in other words, they must be solved in the same time (with the same number of steps); 2) Tasks must be of the required complexity; 3) The generator should be flexible and allowing to create not only a specific type of task, but also a number of related ones, possibly with minor modifications. This paper discusses approaches and tools for creating a generator that can satisfy the above rules. Keywords: generation of mathematical expressions, task generator The work contains 34 pages, 3 chapters, 17 drawings, 4 tables, 22 sources of information, 5 appendixes.

Student Theses at HSE must be completed in accordance with the University Rules and regulations specified by each educational programme.

Summaries of all theses must be published and made freely available on the HSE website.
