Student: Pecherskikh Anna

Supervisor: Julia Trabskaya

Faculty: St.Petersburg School of Economics and Management

Educational Programme: Experience Economy: Hospitality and Tourism Management (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2020

This work is aimed at studying the practices of forming educational products (programs, disciplines, courses, intensives, workshops, etc.) in the digital field, identifying the competencies of digital specialists with the aim of developing a matrix of competencies and education in a new field. The relevance of the topic of this study is due to: 1) lack of awareness of both the “demand” - the number, characteristics of vacancies and the requirements for digital specialists, and the “offer” - about the available options for training new professions, the existence of clear requirements for hard and soft skills, understanding the diversity and the uniqueness of the digital job market; 2) the lack of a unified methodology for the formation of educational discipline in the digital sphere. The goal of the final qualification work is to develop a competency matrix for the professions and vacancies of the digital sphere, as well as to form a manual for the development (formation) of a new educational discipline, scalable to all areas of the digital sphere. The developed competency and education matrices in digital can serve as a visual guide both for employers and job seekers, and for those who want to choose the most attainable vacancy in education and development in the digital world.
