Augmented Reality App for Sharing Virtual Presents

The popularity of AR technologies has been steadily growing in recent years. The time when this technology remained the domain of scientists, professionals, and rare enthusiasts is passing: algorithms are improving, the hardware is becoming more powerful, and the scope of the technology is continually expanding. Now AR can be used not only in games with specialized equipment but also on ordinary mobile devices that are available to almost everyone. So now, mobile developers could improve the user experience by expanding everyday scenarios such as fitting clothes, choosing furniture, sports training, and education. This article presents a mobile app on the Android platform designed to improve the experience of the present-sharing process by allowing users to hide and search for virtual gifts in augmented reality. The primary purpose of the app is to expand the present-sharing process so that it brings increased positive emotions. The paper contains 43 pages, 4 chapters, 24 figures, 27 sources, 4 appendices.
