System for Analyzing Differences in the News Flow of the Russian Media

This master’s degree is dedicated to development of a new method for analysis of various in Russian news flow of the editions that publish their notes in the Internet. The aim ow this paper is development of the automated system which allows users to see the difference in publications of some popular news editions, which is being achieved with help of automatic analysis of all available publications. The explanatory note to this master's thesis discusses methods of analyzing the texts of news publications, analyzes the criteria for choosing an analysis method, provides a user-friendly presentation of data on the results of comparing news notes from various media, and describes the software implementation of the entire developed automated system. The result of the work is the revealed similarities and differences in the news flow of several popular All-Russian and regional mass media, presented as a web page with graphs and tables. The developed system can be used to compile various media ratings, which are created by various agencies, people who want to evaluate the further reading of these sources, as well as advertisers to determine the target audience of the publication.
