Comparative and Contrastive Analysis of Lexical and Stylistic Features of the TV Shows "Evening Urgant" and "The Ellen Show”

This work is devoted to the analysis of lexical and stylistic features that were identified during the viewing of the talk shows “Evening Urgant” and "The Ellen Show.” The theoretical part includes analyzing the speech behavior of TV hosts, as well as identifying the main features at the level of linguistic and cultural characteristics of representatives of two cultures: Russian and American. The empirical part represents an analysis of the lexemes and stylistic features of the guests’ speech of the shows, which are revealed depending on the category (music, politics, cinema) to which they are assigned.
