The degree work on a subject Management Improvement of Social Protection of the Population in St. Petersburg (the Case of Pushkin District of St. Petersburg) is dedicated to the study of the social protection mechanism current activities in the city of St. Petersburg, the assessment system development for this activity, as well as the development of measures to improve the activities of the Pushkin district within the city of St. Petersburg. While doing the research of the area, all-Russian and city laws, state aid and development programs, Russian-language and English-language articles, as well as local literature, have been analyzed. Calculations and ratings directly related to the activities of social protection services within St. Petersburg have been compiled. Based on various characteristics of activities in the field of social welfare, the most promising and least promising factors have been selected. Corresponding recommendations for the studied Pushkin district, based on the data of the calculations have been developed.
