Assessment of the Competitiveness of Hotel Yubileinaya (Blagoveshchensk)

Assessment of the competitiveness of an organization remains a relevant topic for researchers’ studies. The purpose of this paper is to assess the competitiveness of the Hotel Yubileinaya, which is located in Blagoveshchensk in Amur Region. Basic concepts and methods for competitiveness assessment are presented in the first chapter of the paper. The second chapter opens with the main characteristics of the enterprise. Further there are analysis of the competitive environment of the hotel industry in the region and competitiveness assessment of the hotel with the use of the methods discussed in the first chapter of the work, namely: PEST analysis, Porter’s Five Forces analysis, SNW analysis, building of the strategic groups map in order to determine the competitors of the company, analysis of critical success factors with reviews and ratings’ studying on a popular travel site. The final part of the paper presents a list of recommendatory suggestions as a response to hotel problems identified during the assessment of the competitiveness. The paper contains 13 figures, 25 tables and 2 exhibits. The list of references consists of 64 items. The are 84 pages in the paper, 69 pages of which are the text part.
