This paper examines the problem of traffic jams in the modern world. The microscopic transport system simulation program has been designed to analyze this problem. The program had been developed using C++ programming language, integrated development environment Qt Creator 4.8.0 and data obtained from traffic flow theory. Interchanges and crossroads have been designed using regulations of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation. The program includes a user interface and able to smoothly animate simulations of transport junctions. The car movement is detailed. This work describes the designed program. The paper includes the program’s structure review, classes, its’ functions and methods, explanation of the possible usage of the program as an instrument for capacity research. The developed program has the potential for further improvement. This will allow to receive more correct and accurate results.
