A Study of Investment Attractiveness in the Regions of the Russian Federation in the Context of Foreign Direct Investment

The purpose of the study was to identify the reasons why foreign investors invest in various projects in different regions and develop recommendations for regions to attract investment The theoretical significance of the work was to systematize existing approaches to determining investment attractiveness, identify the features of investment attractiveness of businesses and projects in industry markets, and study the features of foreign direct investment in Russia. As part of the work, an analysis of investment attractiveness was conducted and an approach to its improvement was proposed, which can be applied both within individual subjects and for the entire state. The concept of investment attractiveness was considered, determining factors were identified, as well as their impact on the inflow of foreign direct investment. In the first Chapter, the methods for determining the investment attractiveness assessment are analyzed. The second Chapter analyzes the inflow of foreign investment, its dynamics and distribution by region, and identifies the factors on the basis of which investors make a decision to invest. Based on the data obtained, recommendations were made to improve the investment climate of the Russian Federation in order to attract foreign direct investment.
