Improving the Efficiency of a Freight Forwarding Company on the Basis of the Modern Technologies

The provided quality of the services, their range and availability are the main factors of competitiveness among freight forwarding companies. Success in the transportation market is determined by regular reviews of company performance and the possibility to identify reserves for further development. Modern technologies are able to provide a significant contribution to this end. Exactly the digitalization of assets allows to manage the fleet monitoring, providing the ability to control vehicles in real time, reduce fuel and fleet operation costs. So, it is possible to maximize the profitability of transportation and, accordingly, to carry out a number of procedures in order to minimize the tariff. The paper will analyze the activities of the freight forwarding company dellin.ru and consider the project of introducing a fleet monitoring service based on the Internet of Things. The choice of service provider was made. The main opportunities and advantages of the implementation of the proposed equipment were considered, and the cost and proposed solutions feasibility were evaluated within the framework of this project. As a result, the project shows the efficiency improvement with the modern technologies implementation and says that it is not just a trend but a real driver of development and success.
