Improving Enterprise Logistic Planning

This paper illustrates current situation in the sphere of logistic planning and forecasting. Every company uses this area to predict future situations. Planning considered to be a significant part of business working process – developing logistic planning. Nowadays the economic situation around the world is not stable, so every company needs a strategic plan no matter if they would like to expand or not. Strategic planning based on different forecasting methods could help organizations with implantation new ideas. Therefore, this work analyses, describes and compares different methods of planning and forecasting on each step in the field of logistics and supply chain management as one of vital spheres of organization. Paper consists of introduction, theoretical part about management of planning, theoretical part about logistics science, third part is based on project production company. The first chapter reveals theoretical material on the topic of planning management and forecasting as its component; the second chapter discusses the logistic models of inventory management with various parameters and limitations. In the third, estimated, chapter on the example of a manufacturing enterprise, after analyzing its economic activity and identifying weaknesses, based on the studied theoretical base, calculations were made to level the average stock, calculate the insurance stock volume, determine the optimal period and supply volume. Statistical tests of new and current models were carried out to compare and verify the effectiveness of the implemented, further determine the development plan of the inventory management system.
