Being in a market economy and having an unstable socio-economic situation in many countries, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) began to realize that for the survival of the organization, its successful development and achievement of its goals, it is necessary to carefully plan their activities and choose the most effective strategy. NGOs are diversifying their activities, focusing on consumers, and looking for additional sources of funding. In the same situation was the organization "2 Young 2 Retire-Europe / Cercle des Seniors Actifs "C'SA" - Europe", the development strategy of which is the subject of this master thesis. The organization promotes the idea of a productive life for older people through the concept of positive aging. In order to develop a development strategy, the research included: 1) a theoretical analysis to identify the role of strategic management and development strategies in NGOs, and the choice of a tool for developing a development strategy; 2) an analysis of the organization's activities with the selected tool. After these steps, the development strategy was defined. After defining the development strategy, three initiatives were also proposed as possible new directions for the development of the organization. In addition, after the analysis of the organization's activities and its external environment, it became possible to determine the criteria by which the organization can evaluate such potential initiatives and new directions of development in the future.
