This work is devoted to the study of the representation of the Soviet space program in the poster art of the 1960s. The Soviet space program was not only a technical achievement of science and technology, but also formed a certain discourse, the study of which can explain a lot in the policy and social sphere of the USSR at that time. The poster is a vivid expression of the spirit of history, the main evidence of the era. The conquest of space is an entire epoch in the history of the USSR, and it is one of the first topics associated with the 1960s.Why was the poster one of the main tools of Soviet propaganda of space achievements during the "thaw"? Why exactly did cosmonautics become such a successful and representative tool of Soviet propaganda during the thaw, and how wide is the range of topics that it was able to touch? These issues will be discussed in detail in this paper.
