Development of the Mythodology for Assessing Russian Regions Sustainability

The aim of this paper is to develop a methodology for assessment of sustainability of Russian regions’ development. During the study, a major gap in Russian legislative base had been revealed along with the necessity to adopt the sustainability assessment procedures on regional level. The findings of the research include the methodology for sustainability assessment and the evidence of the importance of work both on the implementation of individual UN SDGs and on achieving a balance in the regional development.
