Migration and social support of migrants requirescontinuous studying as the migration flow dynamics in different countries is ever-changing due to economic, political and, as it is evident now, epidemiological reasons. The paper analyses and compares migration policy and social support of migrants in two countries, namely Russia and Poland,since they are the centres of attraction to migrants from the CIS countries. These two countries from the former Soviet Union havehad different migration historyover recent years, so their comparison helped identify the merits and demerits of the social policies in Russia and Poland, as well as determine and compare their methods of social support of migrants. Key words: migration policy, migrant workers, social support, recommendations.
