This final qualification work was written with the aim of studying methods for optimizing warehouse activity and improving the economic efficiency of using warehouse resources. During the writing of the work, the following tasks were performed: 1) the role of warehouse logistics in supply chain management is determined; 2) the latest warehouse technologies are reviewed; 3) the analysis of the activities and success of the Construction Trading House "Petrovich" is conducted; 4) recommendations to the introduction of voice control in the warehouses and distribution centers of “Petrovich” are performed; 5) the potential benefits of introducing new technology are described. Logistics costs sometimes amount up to 70% of the cost of goods, and the share of storage costs occupies a leading position here. To optimize the operation of the warehouse complex, logistics managers need to carry out a number of measures that can increase the efficiency of the use of warehouse resources and warehouse productivity. Priority options for improving warehouse activities include: • automation of storage at the warehouse through the introduction of automatic machines and equipment capable to increase the productivity of warehouse workers; • reduction of warehouse maintenance costs; • rational distribution of goods, assuming maximum load of the warehouse area; • optimization of the productivity of warehouse workers; • automation and digitalization of documentation. Nowadays the first step of the optimization of warehouse logistics is the introduction of WMS system that meets the requirements of the company and increases the efficiency of all logistics business processes. Only after the successful launch of the warehouse management system, company managers can think about introducing the latest warehouse technologies. This work may be relevant for any domestic company intending to optimize warehouse operations using the capabilities of modern information and logistics technologies. The technologies considered in the work can positively affect the productivity of the warehouse, increase its bandwidth and the efficiency of the use of warehouse space and resources.
