The paper analyzes the impact of job satisfaction on labor mobility of older workers in the phase of pre-retirement, middle-aged and young workers. The information bases for the study are the panel data Russian longitudinal monitoring survey (RLMS) for the years 2004–2018. The results of the regression analysis confirmed the impact of job satisfaction on labor mobility of employees in pre-retirement age on the Russian labor market. The availability of professional growth opportunities and favorable working conditions are also important for older workers for stable employment. However, at the same time the monetary characteristics of the workplace have less effect on labor mobility of employees in pre-retirement age than on labour mobility of younger workers.
