Development of Technology for Assessing Candidates for a Leadership Position in a Research Institute of the Chemical Industry

This work is devoted to the development of technology for evaluating candidates for a leadership position in a research institute of the chemical industry. Based on a review of domestic and foreign sources, various approaches to assessing managerial potential and methods for assessing personnel were analyzed, key management competencies were formulated and their main assessment tools identified. Based on the analysis, a competency model for middle managers and a technology for evaluating candidates for a senior position in a research institute of the chemical industry were developed. The final part of the work summarizes the study and describes the practical significance of the development.
