Optimization of Logistics Functions of the Enterprise OAO “Volzhanin”

Nowadays, logistics is an important part of almost any company's work. It connects all processes from production to processing and ensures efficient management of material and product flows for delivery to customers. This paper describes the role of logistics in the production plant and how to optimize the logistics activities of the company. The results of the study include consideration of theoretical aspects of optimization of logistics activities at the production plant, as well as consideration of logistics activities of the JSC "Volzhanin" and a proposal for optimization of the warehouse using a warehouse management system. It is expected that the results of this study will improve the level of efficiency of logistics activities of the enterprise in question, as well as other enterprises from the same area of activity. The work consists of three chapters: in the first and second chapters the theoretical aspects of the role of logistics at the enterprise and its optimization are considered; in the third chapter the choice of a suitable warehouse management system for the enterprise is made and the economic efficiency of implementation of this system is justified.
