The Influence of the Socio-cultural Environment of the University on the Choice of Profession

The study is devoted to the influence of attitudes, rules of behavior and everything that forms the university environment on the socialization of students, and specifically on the choice to work by profession. The theory of habitus of Pierre Bourdieu is taken as a basis, which implies that when he enters an environment with a strong habitus, a person involuntarily takes measures of behavior of this environment. The study was attended by graduate students from the faculties of state and municipal administration of the Higher School of Economics and Moscow State University. These universities are taken in order to determine the differences in the habitus of liberal and classical universities to choose to work by profession.
