The Program for Students’ Career Development of the Faculty of Management

In this paper we address the problem of students planning their career in university and examine the impact of university activities on students' career paths in order to understand vectors of future development. Over the past decade, European, American, and large Russian higher education institutions have been practicing the creation of a university-based structural unit as a Career center or Career service. The main aims of Career center in university are to help students to make well-informed choices about their future opportunities in a professional field and to develop links with the range of organizations providing appropriate opportunities for graduates, including further study and job experience.The main goal of the work is to design a career development support center for students of the management faculty. To achieve the goal, domestic and foreign sources on career aspects and the features of students' career development were analyzed. The research based on the information, obtained during survey of manager-students and analysis of existing universities experience. As a result, on the basis of a theoretical review and the results of an empirical study, as a recommendation, a program was developed for a career development support center for students of department of management at the Higher School of Economics Nizhny Novgorod.
