Optimal Replenishment Strategy Selection for Distribution System of Pharmaceutical Company

Nowadays problems connected with the optimal inventory management development are faced by a great number of companies in various spheres of activities, however, it must be mentioned that not each industry can be considered to be as significant and important as the pharmaceutical one in the contemporary world. It is known that inappropriate organization of logistician system can have a negative impact on the distribution of all required and necessary medication what, as a result, can cause the decrease of the chances to be cured on time. Moreover, it can cause lethal outcomes for some patients. So, specialists in logistics must comprehend all the importance of the decisions they responsible for. Therefore, the relevance of the final graduation work is determined by the necessity to provide a higher level of pharmaceutical market service, which can be achieved by means of logistics models and methods. It must be highlighted that functioning effectiveness of pharmaceutical supply chain can influence the saturation of global market significantly. Having impact on services as well as the quality of provided goods, the functioning of logistics systems can affect the population quality of life. The purpose of the scientific work is to analyze the topic explored, develop an improving project in a two-level pharmaceutical supply chain system and give some recommendations for the improvement maintenance. In order to achieve the purpose, the following tasks are necessary to solve: 1. Explore the state of the global pharmaceutical market and identify its current problems 2. Scrutinize the methods of inventory management 3. Analyze the domestic pharmaceutical market in order to define what conditions the focused pharmacy company operates under. 4. Define the importance of having trading partners in the contemporary business environment and select the most appropriate one. 5. Analyze the financial and economic state of the company and identify its problems. 6. Scrutinize the activities of the regional pharmaceutical two-tier chain 7. Develop an optimal inventory management policy in a multi-level system with a distributor-pharmacy relationship. The subject of this work is the system of the inventory management between the pharmacy company "Health Plus" and the distribution center. The object of this work is a two-level regional pharmaceutical supply chain, which has two main participants: the company "Health Plus" and the distribution center. The final graduation work consists of an introduction, main part which includes three chapters and a conclusion with the list of references.
