The main idea of this study is to identify existing barriers, theoretical and practical solutions, and how cost-effective the concept of “green” logistics in an enterprise can be. It cannot be denied the fact that a certain part of environmental problems in the world is somehow connected with economic and, in particular, logistics processes. For example, the transport sector is currently spending a significant part of the planet’s energy resources and is considered one of the most polluting sector. With the relatively recent introduction of the concept of green logistics, companies can significantly reduce the amount of damage caused by logistics processes and at the same time improve their economic efficiency, however, there are a number of questions about how to approach this issue better, what could be the costs and possible benefits from integrating the ideas of this concept. It is also worth considering that this is a new and constantly evolving concept that will somehow change over time. Therefore, taking into account the above reasons, we can say with confidence that the study of this concept is necessary and most relevant at the present time. In this scientific work, a comprehensive analysis of modern literature on the subject of research will be carried out, the main problems of the development of this concept will be identified. Also, the study will analyze the most common real practices of using the concept. After that, the economic efficiency of this concept at the national level will be proved on the key factors of economic and environmental activities of countries. Then a practical example of how to use the principles of the concept in practice will be examined. Based on the results of the study, the main recommendations for the development of the concept in our country will be formed. Of course, the concept is worth attention and can bring tangible positive results, but in the end an analysis will also be made of what may be the negative aspects of the implementation of this concept, which, in fact, is currently lacking in the scientific literature.
