Globalization and the dynamic development of market relations, as well as the formation of a business environment, the key to success of which are quality and time, pushed companies to develop and change their growth strategies in order to increase their competitive advantage in the market. In this regard, supply chain management has gained immense popularity largely due to the fact that companies have realized the importance of effective management of material, information and related flows for the effective functioning of the company’s activities. Improving the efficiency of supply chain management is a way to increase the competitive advantage for companies in the form of increasing the satisfaction of a particular consumer, reducing total costs, by effectively organizing and integrating the activities of all organizations in the supply chain. Increasing the effectiveness of supply chain management is important at any stage of development of the company and the market. The relevance of this work lies in the popularity of using the concept of supply chain management, but also at the same time as a comprehensive approach to improving the efficiency of chain management for each enterprise, due to the individual characteristics of the supply chains of companies and the poorly developed, theoretically and methodologically, practice of applying this concept in various market conditions. The purpose of this work is to analyze the supply chains of the research object – the bakery company “Cherepovetskhleb” and offer recommendations for improving the efficiency of supply chain management during the crisis of the market associated with the COVID-19 virus pandemic, as well as during the normal state of the market after stabilization of the situation. To increase the efficiency of supply chain management during the pandemic, a recommendation was made to create a reserve stock of raw materials, as well as an algorithm for the necessary actions and calculations. As a result of the application of the proposed solution, it is expected to increase reliability, reduce the uncertainty of supply chains, as well as ensure the normal functioning of the activities of “Cherepovetskhleb” during the COVID - 19 pandemic. To increase the efficiency of supply chain management during the period of normal market conditions, solutions were proposed to optimize the activities of the warehouse complex of “Cherepovetskhleb”, which affects the KPI indicators of supply chain management efficiency. The proposed optimization solutions are related to the implementation of the WMS warehouse management system. Keywords: supply chain management efficiency, supply chain management efficiency assessment, reserve stock, WMS systems.
