iOS Application for Speaking Skills Training in English

A significant number of people use tutors, take courses and study with native speakers to improve their english speaking skills. But there is a segment of those who want to learn the language at home and improve their speech. Recent studies show that there is no fully prepared application that would give users high-quality feedback on spoken language, but there are many scientific articles and developments on the topic of speech analysis. In this paper, we present a program that examines the user's speech in English and gives an assessment of the main criteria for correct speech in accordance with the unified standards of international examinations in English. The app is designed to help people improve their speaking skills on their own, and this research has many development paths. The paper describes the existing methods of speech analysis, describes their advantages and disadvantages, as well as identifies and sets out in detail the chosen approach. The process of the user’s work with the application and the process of the server side of the application are fully declared.
