Research objectives: to analyze the formation of trauma and methods of memory storage. Compare the psychoanalytic description of trauma with the ongoing neurobiological changes. Identify the features in psychoanalytic work, taking into account the peculiarities of functioning identified by neuroscientists. The result of this work is confirmation of the reflection of mental trauma in the brain, identified by comparing and analyzing psychoanalytic concepts and neurobiological studies of trauma. The functioning of the emotional centers of the brain is directly affected by poor containment by the figure taking care of the child. Neuroimaging studies have shown that anxiety attachment in childhood is reflected in the impaired functioning of areas of the brain dedicated to self-reflection (medial prefrontal cortex).
