Diversification Strategies of Large Russian Development Companies in the New Economic Paradigm

The global pandemic and global quarantine have an unprecedented effect on the global economy as a whole. This is especially due to the fact that COVID-19 is not only the spread of COVID-19, but also the previous decades of complex macroeconomic and political problems. This, in turn, has an impact on market real estate. In the most positive forecast, the effect of the pandemic can be leveled no earlier than 2021, and full economic growth can be resumed no earlier than 2022. First of all, companies need to identify their growth points and determine which drivers and trends can help strengthen economic activity in the world. Theoretical research and development of strategies of development companies, as well as fundamental work in the field of studying diversified strategies and their changes under the influence of new economic realities. The main assumption is that under the influence of external factors, in particular, changes in the economic situation, technologies and consumer demands, development companies are forced to diversify their models for further growth and sustainability in the industry. The scientific literature notes that the increase in the number of publications on this topic will be confirmed. The object of research is the Russian development market. Subject - Application of diversification strategies for development. The aim of the work was to study the development of large development companies in Russia under the influence of new economic realities and recommendations for their implementation. To achieve the goal, the author set the following tasks: • Study of scientific and business literature on the topic • Characterization of new economic realities • Study of the process of value formation in the framework of development • Identification of key trends in the development market • Analysis of the current state of the development sector in Russia • Identification of promising news on the Russian development market • Formation of recommendations for their implementation The structure of the study was determined by the goal and objectives. The master's thesis includes 3 chapters, a conclusion and a list of references from 73 sources. The text of the work is set out on 61 pages. First of all, the theoretical foundations of the development of diversification in management and in particular. The question also arises of the theoretical aspects of the new economic realities. The second chapter explains the reasons for the transition to diversification strategies and highlights current macroeconomic trends and drivers. The third chapter analyzes the current state of real estate in Russia and the conditions for the spread of a diversified model in the development market in Russia, as well as a methodology for determining ways to diversify development studies. In this work, factors were identified that could affect the further development of the industry. The methodology proposed by the author will help the company look at the diversification process from the other side and identify trends, and drivers will help choose a strategic course for further development, taking into account the internal characteristics of developers. This work can be continued with the aim of deeper factors and trends affecting the diversification of development companies in each of the real estate sectors. Moreover, further studies may be aimed at considering the diversification process in the framework of development.
