Obligations Arising in Augmented Reality

The present paper is aimed at studying issues of obligations’ law, which come up because of the use of augmented reality technology. A special place is given to the influence of the specifics of relations on the elements of obligation, traditional institutions of law of obligations and on contracts. Features of obligations in the field of augmented reality were revealed in terms of their subject composition, object and their content. When considering the features of different obligations within the framework of the proposed in paper classifications, the author draws conclusions about the increase in the quantity of rights and obligations of the obligations’ parties, guarantees and the presence of peculiarities in the distribution of risks and liability in case of contracts’ violations. In the process of this work, it was important to identify a number of non-obvious problems that have to be solved in preparing legal regulation and forming legal positions at the level of judicial practice in the absence of a sufficient numbers of other legal studies both in Russia and abroad.
