The name of Mikhail Mikhailovich Zoshchenko is widely known. An outstanding and beloved by many comedian writer, whose name is inscribed in the world fund of humorous and satirical literature. If you ask people who know and love Zoshchenko what he wrote, they will easily list the books that make up the golden fund of his works. But there is a book that stands apart in the entire work of the writer, and not all even very avid lovers of Zoshchenko’s work know it. It is called «Before Sunrise». This is a book about life, illness and healing of M.M. Zoshchenko. For many years, Zoshchenko suffered from a psychoneurosis: he experienced bouts of melancholy, spleen, depression, and fear. He was visited by thoughts of suicide - sometimes these attacks were so strong. But the writer decided to fight and defeated his ailment.
