Year of Graduation: 2020

This study examines gender differences in the practices of online Dating app Tinder. I assume that men and women use Tinder differently, and that these differences will be revealed at several levels: patterns of self-representation of men and women, types of visual profile content with photos and text communication models, motivation for using the app, and the process of choosing a partner. It is important to understand whether there is a difference in the gender context of using Tinder and how the app actually functions. In addition, most of the literature devoted to this topic is the work of foreign authors, and only one work has been published in Russia at the moment.. This is important because Tinder is a kind of role model for users of online Dating apps.
