Postsurrealist Poetics of Pavel Pepperstein’s Prose

Abstract This project is devoted to the study of the prose of Pavel Pepperstein (in particular, the texts included in the collections of short stories "Spring", "Traitor to Hell" and "The Age of Attractions"). It regards the theoretical background of the texts, their literary aims and methods for their implementation. The author’s texts are described as the implementation of two literary strategies: “маразмирование” and “скольжение”, transforming the traditions of psychedelic and surrealistic literature and the art practices of Moscow conceptualism. Keywords: pscychodelic realism, Moscow conceptualism, surrealism, psychedelic literature.
