Because of the growing popularity of online education, the question of the quality of services provided is critical, and, as a result, the justification for the widespread use of this form of education and the effectiveness of the educational process as a whole. This paper examines the influence of the expressiveness of the speaker's speech and its characteristics, such as monotony, volume, expressiveness, and others, on the quality of assimilation of the lecture material by the audience in the online course. To solve this problem, a software system was developed that can analyze the speaker's speech and form important numerical characteristics for research, the ratio of which determines the degree of retention of the audience's attention on the part of the speaker. As an experimental part, the paper contains speech analysis of several HSE online courses and a list of published mobile applications, that are used to improve user`s speech. As a result of an online-course analysis, a number of numerical parameters of speakers' speech are obtained, which gives a basis to judge the impact of audience involvement in the subject of the corresponding speech, on the other hand mobile application analysis gave us the information about user`s needs and common mistakes of developers. Both the method of evaluating the expressiveness of the speaker's speech used in this work and the concept of a software system for analyzing the elements and characteristics of speech can be used in subsequent research or applied in the educational environment to improve the quality of the provided lecture material.
