State Policy Priorities in the Sphere of Drug Supply in the Russian Federation

Today it is difficult to imagine high-quality medical care without the use of medications. That is why the availability of high-quality, safe and effective medical care to the population is one of the main elements of public health protection. Increasing the availability of pharmacotherapy is one of the key priorities of the state policy in the field of drug supply. In this study, we studied the legislative activity of authorities in this industry, highlighted the main problems of drug provision, in particular, preferential provision of medicines at the outpatient stage, and gave recommendations for improving drug provision.
