This research is devoted to the study of causal structures in a speech studying Russian as a foreign language. The basic constructions expressing the cause-effect relations in Russian in the use of standard and non-standard carriers are considered. The focus of the work is such constructions as "Р, потому что Q", "Р благодаря Q"; "Р из-за Q", "Р. Так, Q", "Q, поэтому Р", "Q, потому Р". The study describes the characteristics and features of the use of the claimed structures, as well as identifies and analyzes the most common errors in using these structures in the written language of students studying Russian as L2. Based on this analysis, methodological recommendations and a draft training manual were presented, which are designed to help avoid these errors.
