Over the past few decades, corpus linguistics has become one of the leading fields in modern linguistics. Linguistic corpora have proved to be an indispensable tool for solving both theoretical and applied problems, since the processing of a large amounts of natural language data is practically impossible without digitization. Parallel corpora play an important role in cross-linguistics research. One of the many tools designed to improve the functionality of parallel corpora and facilitate the work with language material are linguistic are linguistic databases. Corpus-based databases are stand-alone databases that store data on each type of linguistic unit under study. Corpus-based databases can be either integrated directly into the corpus structure or be developed independently. In this paper we were interested in connectors in Finnish and Russian languages. Connectors are language units whose function is to express semantic relations between the syntactic components that are connected by them. In the course of this Graduation paper existing approaches to the construction of linguistic corpus-based databases were reviewed. The result was the creation of a database of connectors in Finnish and Russian languages.
