Our research is aimed at identifying extralinguistic parameters that influence the narrative structure of diaries. After making sure that the method of lexical distribution is suitable for our experiment, we identified three main features and consistently contrasted our texts on them. We have determined the hierarchical structure in which these features are built based on the strength of their influence on the narrative of the diary. Based on the ideas we have formulated, we have identified cases in which the results of experiments require additional analysis and explanation. In our work, we have limited ourselves to only three extralinguistic features – in future research, two directions look promising: to study more closely the metadata about the professional activities of the diaries ' authors, and to extract lexical and non-lexical data from the diaries themselves. We would probably like to distinguish different types of diaries based on the specific uses of verbs, the frequency of use of different parts of speech, and non-lexical features such as the frequency of punctuation marks and interjections.
