The Dynamics of Countertransference in the Psychoanalytic Process

The purpose of this work is to show the versatility of the action and the importance of countertransference in the psychoanalytic process, its dynamics when working with patients, as well as the use of this tool in action. We will consider countertransference as a tool in the psychoanalytic process, its interaction with transference, the uniqueness of working with difficult patients and especially during psychodrama. We describe the clinical cases illustrating countertransference in various variations of use, and make assumptions and conclusions based on them. This master's thesis is a theoretical work whose tasks are to review, describe and analyze: - the interaction of transference and countertransference during the psychoanalytic process, - countertransference, as an instrument of psychoanalytic technology, - countertransference in working with severe patients, - features of countertransference during psychodrama, the whole dynamics of countertransference during psychoanalytic work with a demonstration of patient histories, which will help to more deeply realize the work done and the conclusions made. The use of this work will help practicing psychoanalysts and therapists in the selection of techniques and interpretations, a bunch of clinical cases with which they work. The chapters of the work can be published in the form of articles reviews of popular science publications. The work consists of four theoretical chapters describing the work with patients, conclusions, conclusions and references. The master's thesis presents historical data on the development of concepts such as “transfer” and “countertransference”, a review of articles on the topic of the dynamics of countertransference. Considered from a psychoanalytic point of view and presented 8 clinical cases, selected for a more complete perception of the theory presented in four chapters of the work. The analyzed mental structures and the order of their interaction or possible interaction, conclusions are drawn based on them. The work tools and the experience of analysts on their use in therapy with patients are described. The conclusion of the work contains information about the uniqueness of the main tool of work in psychoanalysis, the complexity of its identification and the correct use by specialists.
