Prospects for the Development of the Private Sector of Dental Services as an Alternative to Public Health Organization

It is known that the health care system of our country offers modern medical care within the framework of the state guarantees program.as a result, state clinics successfully compete with the commercial sector. Does this judgment apply to dental services? The purpose of the study is to identify opportunities for competition between the public and private sectors of dentistry in relation to paid services and to analyze the prospects for the development of the private sector in front of the state. The paper considers the features of the organization of public and private sector activities, the current situation of the market of dental services, its demand among the population. A study was conducted on the estimates of the adult population about paid dental care that they receive in clinics of various forms of ownership, the main factors of consumers ' choice of a dental organization. The opinion of specialists on the specifics of working in these organizations was also studied. In addition, the problems that hinder the development of the public sector in the market of paid dental services have been identified. The study found that the private sector will continue to dominate the market for paid dental services, as it develops more intensively than the state, because it takes into account the current needs of the population and follows a competent management and development strategy of the organization. The paper offers recommendations for improving the quality and competition in the market of paid dental services to public and private organizations.
