The thesis is devoted to problems of formation of algebraic culture for students in grades 7-9. The concept of formation of algebraic culture is described from several points of view. The set of methodical materials necessary at different stages of this process is developed. The suitability and efficiency of the existing teaching materials and materials for additional education are analyzed in context of the stated objectives.
