Study of Three-level Quantum System States Properties via Different Generalizations of the Bloch Representation

In the present paper, we study the properties of various representations for states of a qutrit (a three-level quantum system), generalizing the Bloch representation for qubit states. For each of the analyzed representations, the image of the set of qutrit states under the mapping determined by this representation is found. The analytical study conducted in the present paper leads to a generalization within the unified approach of the results obtained earlier in [2,3] via quite different to each other methods. Based on the conducted analytical research, the computer user program (on Phyton) for graphic three-dimensional visualization of an arbitrary qutrit state is developed.
