The purpose of the dissertation research is to study the impact of the Government of the Russian Federation on payment of dividends by state companies in the amount of 50% of net profit. The object of the study is the public state companies of the Russian Federation. Research methods: event analysis, construction of linear regression. An analysis of the interaction of the state with state-owned companies around the world was carried out, the main directions were identified. This work explores how a Government Order, through the limitation of available funds from company management, can affect company's performance. For completeness of the analysis, the reaction of investors to the publication of such an order was investigated. Based on the results of the work, it was concluded that the application of this Order in order to improve management efficiency was not successful, and accordingly, the adoption of a law that would introduce uniform rules for dividend payments by state companies in the future is inappropriate.
