Changes in Operational Efficiency After M&A Transactions

The paper is intended to research effects of M&A deals on operational efficiency of companies and assessment of market efficiency to implement these effects. The object of the research is M&A deals on international market. The paper analyzes changes in operational efficiency before and after M&A deals. The method of research – correlation and regression analysis. The author reviewed modern approaches to assessment of effects of M&A deals on operational efficiency. The new method was suggested for assessment of efficiency of market indicators to predict influence of M&A deals on operational efficiency. Empirical research were conducted and included 5000 deals from 2009 till 2019. The results of this research allowed to create regression model for specific intervals. Further improvement of the model will enable to extend its implications. Keywords: effects of mergers and acquisitions, M&A, operational efficiency, market quotes.
