In this paper, a study of male hysteria was conducted using a psychoanalytic approach. In the empirical part of the work, the case of psychoanalytic psychotherapy with a hysterical man was considered. In the course of the study, the main patterns of behavior that characterize a hysterical man were identified. We also analyzed and identified the conditions under which a hysterical male personality is formed. In the course of our work, we were able to establish the role of aggression in the functioning of hysteria, as well as to draw a link between aggression and panic attacks. In the course of research of theoretical aspects and analysis of the case, the hypothesis that dissociative processes are the basis of the functioning of the hysterical personality was partially confirmed.
