Schubert Varieties and Their Degenerations

This paper is dealing with objects associated with the symmetric group: Schubert and Grothendieck polynomials, reduced and non-reduced pipe dreams, subword complexes, matrix Schubert varieties and their degenerations. We study how these objects are related to each other and to so-called slide polynomials, introduced by SA and DS.
