In the work the concepts of black swan theory and basic provisions of the given theory, history of appearance of the given term, and modern understanding of black swan class events in modern sciences are considered; the concepts of black, grey and white swans are differentiated, and the place of coronavirus pandemic within the framework of H theory is defined. Taleb's theory; the influence of a pandemic as a grey swan class event on people's thinking and perceptions was also studied; empirical research was carried out on people's opinions and attitudes towards coronavirus infection, and the results were analysed and conclusions drawn. The study was conducted on the basis of the VKontakte social network and was attended by the respondents of the cruise chat group. In the course of the work the following conclusions were drawn: in general, in the chat about coronavirus among potential tourists there are cases of normal median thinking, when an individual tries to treat the data obtained from a critical point of view, analyzes them from the point of view of rationality, which is the majority of respondents to the considered chat. Also observed: the paranoid type, as a rule, associated with a similar accentuation of character, with such methods of thinking, the respondent believes in the conspiracy theories of the type of chipping, anti-vaccidentalism, the desire of the world state to subjugate all countries, to force citizens to comply with self-isolation as the state's desire to establish total control and surveillance over all, and so on. Runaway type - such examples of people in most people completely deny the danger of coronavirus, treat its phenomenology as a non-significant event, do not attach importance to its danger, and show discontent about the restriction of their rights and freedoms. Hyperresponsible narcissistic type - these are characterized by an attempt to assert themselves at the expense of intelligence, a desire to convince of the danger and hyper danger of the virus, calling for "social responsibility for the elderly, a desire to humiliate others and to instil their own self-esteem, coupled with a high level of anxiety.
