Legal Status of the Roman Catholic Church in Russia (XVIII- XXI)

In this master's thesis the peculiarities of regulation of legal status of the Roman Catholic Church in Russia of XVIII - XXI centuries are analyzed. The research is based on the study of the Imperial, Soviet and modern legislation that regulated legal status of the non-Orthodox denominations. The key place in the analysis is occupied by the history of legal regulation of the Roman Catholic Church and the state relations. Study based on a comparison of the specific development of state and church relations in other European countries, a possible plan to establish contractual relationships between Russia and the Roman Catholic Church based on a concordat model is proposed. Academic and specialized sources on the theory of state and law, canon law, constitutional law, history of the Roman Catholic Church, historiography and statistics were used in writing. The dissertation can be used by students of higher education institutions in the areas of "Theory and History of Law and State", "History of Legal Teaching", "Russian History", "General History", "Historiography, Source Study and Methods of Historical Research".
