Japanese-Russian Parallel Corpus

Parallel corpora are sets of texts in two or more languages, one of the texts being the original and the other ones being its translations. Such corpora can be used for many different purposes: they can be used as datasources in neural networks-based automatic translation systems' development, they can be used during various corpus researches, they can also be used for studying languages. This paper describes the process of the first publicly available parallel japanese-russian corpus' creation. The automatic text alignment method introduced in this paper can be employed along other text processing and preprocessing tools for the corpus' future development.
