Competencies of Modern Manager in Context of Digital Business Transformation

Nowadays digitalization is one of the key trends which is rapidly transforming all spheres of modern society’s life. One of the key areas significantly affected by digitalization is business environment due to the development and implementation of digital technologies in organizations, as well as the transformation of business processes. Finding the right management team with the right leadership skillset and competences for a company nowadays means achieving success. The main goal of this study is to define a competence profile of a modern top-level manager who is able to effectively realize his/her professional potential and meet the expectations set for him in the conditions of digital transformation. The object of the research - modern top managers, the subject is their competencies needed for effectively working in the digital economy. This research is based on the analysis of Russian and international scientific and professional publications on the topic, as well as on the collection and analysis of empirical data by conducting in-depth interviews with experts in the field of executive search.
