The aim of this work is to study the level and dynamics of anxiety experienced by employees in subsidiaries of large holdings. Understanding its causes, dynamics, and the degree of influence on the results of activity will allow us to develop ways and mechanisms of working with it, which will increase the efficiency of the subsidiary. A psychodynamic analysis of the company's processes can help to understand the ongoing negative manifestations at an unconscious level, and also makes it possible to make a forecast of developments and develop an intervention plan that will prevent undesirable consequences for the success of the company. The paper analyzes the literature on the following issues: general concepts of anxiety in the psychoanalytic approach, concepts on the development of anxiety in organizations, causes of occurrence, protective mechanisms, and causes of its occurrence. Additionally, anxiety issues in the process of organizational change and in the process of mergers and acquisitions are considered. Based on this review, a basic approach to the analysis of anxiety was developed using the example of a subsidiary formed as part of a large holding. During the analysis, the main type of anxiety experienced by the employees was determined, hypotheses about the main defense mechanisms and group basic assumptions were made, the employees' behavioral reactions as a resistance reaction were identified. The information obtained during the analysis can be used to plan interventions that will help reduce existing anxiety and create more comfortable working conditions for employees. This will prevent the burnout of staff, reduce the percentage of absenteeism and in the long term prevent the outflow of employees. Also, the findings can be used in further work with company executives, allowing them to explain what is happening to employees, provide additional tools for understanding conflicts that arise, shift the focus of perception from individual to corporate, which will form a basis for decision-making based on ongoing processes.
